Sponsorship

Adopting a cat not in your near future, but love animals?
Why not Sponsor a pet?

Chesnut_edited.jpg

AFOC has many cats that are not currently adoptable or have special needs that makes the journey to find the right home longer than most of our residents. You can make an enormous difference in a cat's life by sponsoring them until they find their forever home. Sponsorships also make thoughtful gifts, for birthdays, anniversaries or a memorial to a special person or pet.

You can choose your one special cat to sponsor, or you can choose a general sponsorship that benefits multiple cats in need at the shelter.  Sponsorships provides AFOC dependable funding for food, veterinary care, enrichment, and a comfortable place to live.

Payment can be made annually or monthly. You can mail a check to AFOC or set up automatic payments via PayPal.

Benefits of sponsorship:

  • A tax deduction (end of year tax receipt will be provided).

  • The knowledge that you have made a difference in an abandoned cat’s life and that your support allows AFOC to rescue and shelter more cats and kittens.

Bella

Waiting for a sponsor.

Ms. Bella is a mysterious and curious diva. We love her big purr-sonality and her confidence that absolutely owns the room. She was found in New Britain in August 2021 and appears to have been born around January 2019.

Chip & Posey

Waiting for a sponsor.

These two were rescued about a year apart in the same location in New Britain.  They enjoy spending days together sitting in the sun, cuddling, and doing zoomies. Posey takes the front seat in their relationship! She most definitely calls the shots, and Chip follows along happily.

Garrett is available for adoption at the Animal Friends of CT no-kill shelter.
