AFOC Adoption Process
Applicant's must fill out the adoption application prior to visiting adoptable cats.

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Animal Friends of Connecticut! Please note that our team is entirely volunteer-run. We will review your application as soon as possible. We kindly ask for your patience while we work through applications in the order they are received.
Application Review:
Our adoption coordinator will review your application and contact you if any additional information is needed. Please call your veterinarian and give permission for them to release records to Animal Friends of Connecticut.
We require that all pets currently in the home be up-to-date on vaccinations unless your veterinarian has documented a medical reason otherwise. Additionally, please be advised that we require adopters to be at least 21 years old.
Next Steps:
Our adoption coordinator will reach out by email to begin the adoption process and may ask follow-up questions. They’ll go over details about adoptable cats and kittens, answer any questions you may have, and help ensure it’s a great match. Our adoption team is volunteer-run, and we appreciate your patience as we respond.
